After two big road wins last week against St. Mary's and the University of San Francisco, the Toreros were taken down by their two northeast league opponents, University of Portland and Gonzaga, on USD's home turf. Friday marked one of the biggest games for the Toreros this season, as they faced off against No. 2 Portland. Portland entered the game with a 15-1-0 record and a perfect 3-0-0 record in WCC play. This is always the biggest league matchup of the year, and the girls were pumped up after coming off of two big victories prior to the weekend.

I will always be a Torero. I just want to make that clear, because I plan on making a yearly pilgrimage to the Jenny Craig Pavilion to watch the Toreros take on Gonzaga.
