The USD women's tennis team has been on a high recently, as they beat both the Washington University Huskies and the University of Arizona Wildcats. But the Toreros were brought back down when they had their four-game winning streak snapped last Friday by the University of Southern California Trojans.
The USD women's tennis team battled through the rainy weather against the UC Irvine Anteaters, prevailing with a victory. Their practice throughout this inclement weather proved to be the deciding factor in the overall outcome of the match.

The USD women's tennis team is looking to put together a stellar spring season. They returned to the court with both more experience and more confidence as well. So far, the team has recorded two straight wins over Cal State Fullerton (6-1) and Loyola Marymount (7-0).
The women's tennis team continued their winning streak with a victory Saturday over No. 75 Arizona at the University of San Diego Tennis Courts. They sealed the win with a 5-2 pounding. This was the first loss for the Wildcats this season, sending them back to Arizona with a 5-1 record.
The University of San Diego women's tennis team is currently ranked 48th in the nation. This past week they competed in the 2009 Barnes Collegiate Invitational. The tournament started on March 18 and the lady Toreros, seated at the No. 1 spot, competed against Texas Arlington.

The Toreros started off the 2009 West Coast Conference Tournament with high hopes of winning a WCC championship but came up short when they were defeated 4-0 on April 18 at the Barnes Tennis Center.
